As a child, Ray imitated movie stars and cartoon characters. His parents encouraged this behavior until he was 18 years of age, then promptly sent him to college. His career in audio began in 1978 with college radio in Illinois. His professional career as an audio engineer and producer began in 1982 at WDZ radio in Decatur, Illinois. Soon, there was additional work as a free-lance engineer and producer. Ray Norman has directed and engineered everything from radio commercials to bands. His professional credits include producing music for network television, nationally aired radio commercials for ad agencies and businesses all over the country, and a promotional CD for the 1996 Summer Olympics. In his personal time, Ray enjoys photography, and being with his family.
